Intro to Open Source
Drupal is ‘Open Source’, this mean the source code is freely available for anyone to download and use. It also means anyone can modify Drupal, and contribute their modifications back. This creates a powerful ecosystem and the community around Drupal is one of it’s strongest features.
There are many other Open Source projects that operate just like Drupal, one of the largest is Linux:

Blog
Do: Now, using what you’ve learnt, the resources available below in the ‘Resources’ section and any further research, draft a blog post describing what Drupal is, what Open Source is, and their benefits. If you can, include links, images & videos! This can be written as a document in Google Docs saved in your folder. Soon, we’ll copy this blog post into a blog site that we’ll be setting up.
